Donating to the Madison Education Foundation has its benefits. Tax deductible, an Idaho State tax credit, and supporting local education. Another benefit of donating is that donors can indicate where they want the money used. The are two limitations: 1)donations cannot be earmarked for a specific student or teacher. To be tax-deductable they cannot benefit one single individual. 2)donations cannot be used for payroll in any form for teachers, faculty, or staff of the district.
- Donations can be used for essentially anything else. This includes, but is not limited to the following:
- Specific school
- Specific Classroom
- Libraries and books
- Madison Fine Arts Center
- Volleyball team, basketball team, dance team, etc.
- School Dept: Music, Drama, Photography, etc.
- A choral or instrumental group
- Excellence in Education Awards
- Grant Cycle Funds for Teacher Grants
- Madison Education Foundation Permanent Endowment Fund
